{beautiful couple!}

Andrew and Casey - I had so much fun with fun with you this afternoon! You are a beautiful couple in many, many ways and are absolutely THE sweetest! I wish you a lifetime of happiness and fun, and, hmmmm.....the discussion about kissing? Well, I think you have that covered without any prompting. ;) So sweet!

I still want to know what he said here. ;)

I was only going to "sneak peek" three...but, I couldn't stop myself! You guys are very easy on the camera. :) My very, very best wishes to both of you!

{interesting article}

I ran across this article on another blog. The credit to the writer is listed below. I have to admit, it made me chuckle because it is SO TRUE! I could relate to pretty much everything he wrote about, and I could add my fair share of even more. ;)

Per Steve....

Nevermind the Photographs - Why your photographer could be the most important part of your wedding day!

Nobody is better placed to help your wedding day along than your chosen wedding photographer. A bold statement, but stay with me.
You’ve paid out a small fortune for other people to look after everything, and you’ll be a little bit pre-occupied of course, what with getting married etc.
The groom will go along with whatever you want, darling. As will dads. Men, huh? Mums will help a little, enough, or a lot…I’m not going there.
And your friends have come for the party.
Your cake and flowers will be delivered. The DJ will set up later.The venue will feed and water you.
And the 90 other people you’ve invited. But not at the church, or on the boat, or even the dancefloor.
Only your wedding photographer will be focused on you through all of it. To record the day’s events, we have to always be there…around…watching. Not in your face, in the background. Experience tells us when to expect things to happen, when to nudge them along and when to stay out of the way.
We might take photos of your flowers, your table plans, your decorations, but we will always know where you are and when. Right up until it’s time to leave.
We’ve joked with grooms and best men to calm their nerves.We’ve told the bride she looks wonderful seconds before she faces the world. We’ve asked the flower girls to jump on the page boys, just to see what happens. We’ve filled-up when your dad’s voice cracked during his speech. We’ve worked out which is your mum and which is your stepmum.
We’ve made friends with your labrador!
We’ve taken you both aside for a few minutes to give you a breather and remind you you’re there for each other.Oh, and we’ve taken a few photographs too!

It's not that this picture is spectacular in the way of photography skill. But, I so love the story behind it. The beautiful bride is looking on at her brother who had to walk away as his eyes filled and overflowed with tears when he saw her. He was overcome with sweet emotion. And, of course, because I tend to cry at ALL the weddings.....my eyes were a little blurred as well. It was almost too much to take in. :)

{congratulations dusty & jill / muskogee, oklahoma wedding}

Another sweet day has been booked for May 15th, 2010. I do not yet know alot of the details, but very much look forward to working with this couple. More posts to come........

{oh.how.i.love.this....}

and, oh do I have plans for it....wait and see.

{wedding on the farm!}

There are several things to get wrapped up and many, many details to finalize and plan....but, we will be having a wedding here at the farm in May! So fun, will keep you 'posted'.
ps, that is my beautiful bride Kasey in the above picture - just as a hurricane was coming around the mountain!! oh, the stories.......

{calling all brides}

Isn't she lovely??

although she is currently on back-order, I am hoping the arrival will be soon as I have some fun, vintage-y ideas to incorporate during a fun engagement or bridal session.....more to come! I'm all about playing dress-up!

{lola}

that's what I've named her! I've added her to my fun arsenal to drag out into the field.....

{shout out}

in a major way! This is one of my lovely, wonderful, sweet brides from this past fall. She has received quite the {positive} comments as she is so striking! I have had so many inquiries regarding her hair and make-up......I thought I would track down the information and share it here.
Bekah amazingly did her own hair. But, one could do that if you are a talented hair stylist like she is! So, for those of you who have asked....to get some amazing hair and make-up for your big day, and with the utmost recommendations from me.....you can contact Vogue Aesthetics which is located at 601 North F St in Fort Smith. The number is: 479.782.0201 for hair: Bekah Travis and make-up: Stacy Craig.

It soooo makes me want to book an appointment for myself to get all glammed up! And, okay.....it doesn't hurt anything if you already have AMAZING eyes.....but seriously....wow!
I know from experience that wedding days book up quickly - so, don't delay in making your appointment. Just wanted to share that wealth of information!

{be back soon!}

Sorry, my updates are lacking - it's been a busy week juggling consults, edits, orders, work, a sick little one and now....more snow! Be back soon with some updates...and great info!

Am thinking that the newborn shoot in NWA tomorrow will have to be rescheduled. :( But, for now, a sweet look at a recent newborn who has grown so big already!

Now that is warm and cuddly on this cold, snowy day! sweet B!

{congratulations holly and will / fayetteville - memphis wedding}

Although I had just posted this to the old blog before the revamp - I wanted to bring some of those posts over to this one.

Holly and Will be exchanging their vows on June 5, 2010 in Collierville, TN - just outside of Memphis! I will definitely be having fun with this couple and very much look forward to the big day! The engagements and bridals are scheduled......although of course the later will be kept under wraps ;) From what I understand, the Town Square in Collierville is full of perfect wedding day backdrops. I'll see what all I can fit by way of fun furniture into the SUV to head east for the big day!

I am truly so happy to be working with both of you....

{THE finishing touch}

I know that I have shouted her praises before, but, felt it was time to do so again. Actually, I could never sing them enough! She is just that great. But, with the influx of wedding inquiries since the Bridal Fest and even those completely unassociated it is the perfect time to make this post. Even for those brides and grooms that I have had to immediately (& unfortunately) turn away due to already having that day reserved & for those that may just come to my site and just "browse" - I wanted to provide you with this information as well. I have worked with Jessica and seen this amazement (and her team) in action.....there really are no words to describe what she can bring to your day. If it were me, and I were in your shoes......before I booked anyone, I would be phoning Jessica. She is lovely, professional, efficient, ingenious, well, I could go on and on. I just so think it is worth a call - no matter the range of your budget - to see what services she can provide you within that budget. I really think that she, along with what she has to offer is actually a wise investment into your day. So, without further ado......the wildly talented, Jessica Kersey may be reached at 479.414.4136 and you can visit her site at http://www.finishingtoucheventdesign.net/ And, she has no clue this post is being written. :)

{Congratulations Bobby and Christa / July 9, 2011 Wedding!}

It seems like July of 2011 is so far away........but, it will be here before we know it. Such a sweet girl! And, I did not get to meet the groom as he is currently in Afghanistan with the 188th! It just gave me chills and always does when I think of the sacrifice. I am quite certain that Krista will catch him up on the wedding planning once he gets back home so he won't feel left out. :) I look forward to your big day, we will have so much fun between now and then - and thank both of you for serving our country, as I feel the one that stays behind sacrifices so much as well.

{super-fun surprise!}

Yea! I just wish it were me! But, I have a "bride" - okay, she's been married almost 4 years, but, she is pulling that packed-away wedding gown and getting all pampered up to do the bridals she wanted....but, didn't get. She is going to surprise her husband. And, to be honest - for the fun of it!
Seriously, what girl doesn't want to get dressed up like a princess, even if it's a "re-dress up"? However, I would have to get a new dress as mine is soooooo incredibly dated - or in other words, ugly. What was I thinking?
But, the beautiful girl I am photographying has a gorgeous gown.....we just need it to turn green out there.....will let you know when I can reveal....

{availability}

I am happy and sad at the same time!! But just wanted you to know that.... June, July and August are booked or held for weddings - one date is available for both May and September.
