{a really good thing}

The immense rain that wrecked total havoc on my schedule in the

month of April, well, it did one really good thing........

it refilled our pond! 

So....I finally got to use the boat I found last year.

{almost blown away}

I told this precious couple that prior to shooting their Dallas wedding, I would be increasing

my life insurance policy.   This was Round 2 for engagements.  Our initial session got stormed out about 30+ minutes into it and when they came home for Christmas, I was sick. 

And, yesterday, although I made the call to move it up earlier because of the chance of rain {we were only in a mild risk for severe weather}....a huge rotating funnel snuck up on us in a big way.   Total traffic gridlock.  As cars upon cars were trying to make it to the interstate to go south away from the wall cloud...it truly felt like a movie.  One no one cared to attend.     Thankfully all in our area were safe.  And, praying for those that were hit today by that same storm system and those still in line for it.

Needless to say, I'm thinking Michael and Casey will always have a story to tell about their

session{s}.  Now we need it to dry up in a big way for bridals that are set for Friday.   And, of course

the big day in August!!

{shane + lexi are engaged / greenwood, arkansas}

Sooooooo happy to get to do this session!! Such a "pretty" {sorry, Shane!} couple inside and out. I had so much fun with them and we will have a short little round II session {we ran out of sun!} within the next couple of weeks to incorporate some ideas we have with his military fatigues.

Could you write a sweeter story? Beautiful, sweet {RAZORBACK!!} cheerleader and handsome army soldier...and, the best part...their love for each other is very apparent. I didn't think anyone could be as sweet as Lexi.....but, she's definitely met her match with Shane!

ahhhhhhh! I'm already IN LOVE with this couple! {as is my husband! and, maybe a cow or two, ha!} They are truly P.R.E.C.I.O.U.S! I had the best time dragging them everywhere....

& as always....I ran out of the sun!

{brice + leslie / fayetteville, arkansas engagement}

Okay. I am already totally smitten with this couple! The anticipation is always a great thing after you hear from so many different people on how wonderful the couple is and how you will absolutely love them. Always a great thing. I had no disappointment, let me tell you! They are amazing! And, I am so happy and blessed that they chose me......

I have had an enormous amount of difficulty at the computer beginning last night with no Internet service to no electricity today. So, I simply added one here while it is all working and I quickly uploaded the sneak peek to the website, under Galleries......scroll all the way to the bottom to "Brice and Leslie".

I had a WONDERFUL time, even though we had some disappointment with the BB&B overtaking Dickson Street. But, the beautiful Matt Lane Farms more than made up for it!

I am very much looking forward to working with this couple between now and their June 2011 wedding! xoxo!

{kevin & elissa / springdale, ar engagement}

Oh, I cannot wait for this wedding! Last night I got to meet Kevin and Elissa and they are so fun and so precious! Their love story is so sweet - one that I can totally relate to! I piled them in with me and we hit as many locations as we could before we exhausted the sun. Their wedding will occur in 3 weeks at a beautiful barn in Gravette, Arkansas. It will be very southern, and very vintage....so excited!

This is such a sweet couple! Grant & Sara will be getting married in March at a Fort Smith church with their reception taking place at Hardscrabble Country Club. And, they have the wonderful event planner, Jessica Kersey (the bride's SIL) so, there is no doubt it will be nothing less than spectacular!

I had alot of fun with this couple especially in giving Mr. Grant a hard time! He was a great sport with the fact I constantly wanted to call him by another name??? I'm still not sure where that came fun. But, we all had a lot of laughs throughout the evening and I very much look forward to working with this lovely couple!

Always a great thing.

But, I have a little one who is having a hard time settling in for the night, so I am off to take care of him.

{congratulations heather and nathan / joplin, missouri engagement}

Yay! I am beyond happy to be a part of this day! Heather is the sister of the breathtaking bride Jessica and I photographed in July. I feel like I'm cheating as I have had a glimpse into this precious family. Heather and Nathan make a beautiful couple, so they will make my job so easy! I am very much looking forward to our planned "winter" engagement session and we will go all out for Heather's bridals. June 2011 can't get here soon enough!

I'm very excited about this wedding that will take place in Fort Smith church in March of 2011 with the reception being at a beautiful, local country club. I have ideas for that green! Very happy that the two of you chose me to be a part of your incredible day!

I'm excited about the upcoming October wedding of Julie and Garen that will occur at New Life Church in Fort Smith. We will be shooting Julie's full-blown bridal session soon......and of course the hard part will be keeping it under wraps until the big day!

I just LOVE these! Well, the fun we had was pretty great too!

We definitely wanted a country feel as Michael is from Texas! I am typically dodging our hay bales to keep them out of the shots - but, this just added to what we were looking for.

We had total cloud coverage and then the moment we got to the lake - full sun! But, we still got some sweet shots.....
