After a little schedule rearrangement...I was very happy to be able to book a precious new bride and her i-am-sure-as-precious groom for their June 26, 2010 wedding in NWA! Although we have not had the chance to meet yet, I can tell you she is such a doll! I cannot wait and we already have her spring bridals scheduled, so I am looking forward to those as well.....

{photog's fav}
This is one of my very favorite Seniors. She was a 2009 Southside graduate & is now away at college. The lovely thing about her besides the obvious.......is she doesn't have a clue how beautiful she is! And, she's not just that pretty on the outside - she is genuinely so sweet. She and her mom were absolutely great to work with. And, per recent conversation, her brother is currently in Africa doing mission work - so, they remain in my thoughts & prayers.

Okay, one more for tonight as it will be a busy, busy week and I'm not quite certain when I'll be back. :) The file I pulled was random, but as soon as I opened it, I looked for these pictures in particular. They will always be some of my very, very favorite. Not because there is anything spectacular in my camera settings, the location, that perfect lens.......but it is purely about what the picture says. Love.
The emotion is so immense, they truly take my breathe away. And, always will. This is sweet, sweet Rachel and her daddy's first glimpse at her. She was aware he was at the door about to see her for the first time. I could not even contain my own tears. The bond of this family is absolutely incredible - and, this gives you a glimpse. And, I love that mom and brother (sister was in the room as well) were there for this moment too.
She will always be his princess.
He will always be her prince.
Isn't this what she had dreamed of since being a little girl?

I think it will be fun to frequently pull and post random pictures from the past year or so that I love for whatever reason. Some of which you have probably seen - but, most likely not as you always just get a 'glimpse' as to what the proofing galleries will eventually hold. Some will have stories behind them...others will speak for themselves.
Since it is random, I literally opened a file and went to whatever drew my eyes in. I guess today it was the color. So....summer-y, a pure contrast from what it looks like outside today. This was taken from a very fun wedding in June. Or, was it July - because, it was SUPER hot! But, the wedding party and bride and groom were so much fun! This shot was taken as the bridal party was getting into position for shots after the wedding. We grabbed the bouquet and took a few just lying on the ground.
ps, the night ended with the entire wedding party jumping in the pool - another story for another day... ;)
{snow days}
I hope everyone enjoyed the winter wonderland we {finally} received! What little bit my boys were able to get out in it - they were beyond thrilled. My little E is sick {again} with croup, so our snowball fights were cut a little short. But, it didn't slow him down on the hot chocolate and snow ice cream.
Here are a few snapshots from my little purse camera. I knew better than to pull out the Nikon due to flying snowballs! :)

For those that had to reschedule this weekend for wedding consults due to the weather, we will make contact with you tomorrow to get it back on the calendar. I will be meeting with two brides this week, with more to schedule. We are into July 2011!
Addendum: before my mom calls, just wanted to clarify that E was not sick prior to taking him out, just for the record :)
Stay warm!!

{under REconstruction}
Again, please overlook the website right now as I am working to update the galleries (well, you may want to peek at that, especially the weddings, engagements, & bridals) and do a little overall redecorating. As I get a few free minutes, I am tweaking...so, it is changing quite often and delays occuring.....

{lemonade}
and, in light of the previous post regarding limited bookings.....there is a silver lining..... my undivided attention to those clients! no more stretching thin because of unexpected curveballs. :)
i'll take a lemonade anyday......

{availability}
Oh, if you only knew how difficult it was to reach this decision,
and even more so to actually post it into words.
But, due to the unrelenting rains of last spring and fall as well as an unbelievable amount of illnesses for my little family - my spring was basically booked by last fall. And, that same fall had been booked since last spring from make-ups of that same rain. And, there still were not enough days to take care of everyone. At the same time, my photography business grew beyond my biggest dreams - thank you so much!
Then came the weddings, and I fell in love even deeper. Just ask my brides - they can't get rid of me! :) But...I have a sweet precious family too and the balance was becoming more and more difficult. I wanted to give great customer service, but not at the expense of my family.
So, after much prayer and agony (I am NOT stretching there) I had to reach some definite decisions, although difficult - they are peaceful. I will still be photographying all aspects - families, precious children, new babies, all things wedding - but, in a very limited amount.

I have some great local photographers I refer those to that I cannot take care of myself. I trust them completely. At hopefully, the seasons will change and someday and I can be back at it 110%! That's what I'm hoping for! I absolutely wish I could take care of every inquiry that comes my way. It is so difficult to not be able to do so.
Again, I am still scheduling everything - just in a much more manageable way. But, as you do.....I have these precious ones to look after also......
I hope you understand! And, I will continue to do my very best in capturing those moments for your family and events. Just with a more limited schedule....for now.
whew! that was hard!

{a brand new blog day!}
I absolutely love it! So fun and pretty! Tenille has been a joy to work with and insanely nice and patient!! If you have a personal or professional blog, she comes highly recommended.
I've posted another picture of sweet Emily - remember to keep her in your prayers as she is on her way to ACH as I type this. Praying for a complete and very speedy recovery.
